German American Bank by name, American through and through by design.
Back in 1910, business visionaries in Jasper, Indiana, a community located in the heart of the Ohio Valley region, started a bank. They christened the name German American Bank in honor of the area's rich German-American heritage.
Today, we’ve grown to become one of the strongest community banks in the Midwest. Despite our growth, we're still based in Jasper and still driven by the belief that when a community thrives, its people prosper.
Our team met with 8th grade students from throughout Barren County, KY to share career opportunities available in the financial services industry. The future is bright!
The Latino Culture Fest in Huntingburg, Indiana is one of many ways our team immerses themselves in the culture of our communities.
Our Louisville-area team celebrated their community by walking in the Jeffersontown Gaslight Festival parade. The German American Bank piggy bank and plentiful candy brought lots of smiles!
Our Bloomington, Indiana team got involved as mentors and sponsors of Dimension Mil's Crossroads Pitch competition where entrepreneurs took center stage. Congratulations to Andreia Sodre Nichols, co-founder of Firebird, winner of the idea competition.
With employee donations, our Evansville, Indiana team bought and wrapped presents for Ark Children's Crisis Center and delivered a check to SWIRCA to help those in need to pay their heating bills during the holiday season.
German American Bank joined Madison Main Street in sponsoring and presenting the Driving Small Business Revenue Program, giving businesses owners a hands-on opportunity to learn about growing their business.
Tell City team member, Stella Nelson, inspired others to join her in collecting children’s books to benefit a cause near and dear to her heart.
